Ong Hock Chuan
Ong has been in communications, first as a journalist and then as a Public Relations counselor, for the past 30 years.
He is the founder of Maverick, one of the largest independent communications consultancies in Indonesia that is acknowledged for its crisis and issues management, social media and media training services.
Ong started his career as a journalist in Malaysia and has worked as a journalist in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Indonesia before turning to PR, where he was Managing Director of Ogilvy PR in Indonesia and then Singapore. In 2002 he returned to Jakarta to set up Maverick.
